Q: How long have you been using AHFA programs?
A: I have worked with AHFA financing since its beginning and have used every form of financing offered.
Q: What do you think is the biggest benefit of AHFA programs?
A: The greatest benefit of the Step Up program is that it helps people without the ability to make a substantial down payment. The one major reason people don't buy is the lack of closing funds to purchase a home, funds that have increased over the last several years, making it even harder for people to move from renting to buying.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: I love helping people. The joy we see at closing that people get to have part of the American dream makes all the effort and time that we spend getting them to the closing table worth it. I also enjoy seeing people years later after their families have grown up in a home of their own and knowing that I had a small part in that.
