Applications are submitted to AHFA only during application cycles and selected according to specific criteria set forth in AHFA's allocation plans. Applications are evaluated on a competitive basis and must be accompanied by a non-refundable fee.
The 2021 HOME Investment Partnerships Program Action Plan and 2021 Housing Credit Qualified Allocation Plan are now available for review (Download AHFA's allocation plans for the current year).
Applications for the National Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Program are being accepted by AHFA for the remaining 2019 and 2020 available funding. Applications to be considered for this funding pool must be received by AHFA prior to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
New construction projects that received AHFA HOME or Housing Credit awards may also submit an application for HTF. Previously funded projects must have committed to provide 5% of the total proposed units for tenants with disabilities or homeless populations and in be compliance with the HTF program, inclusive of the 30% AMI restriction and the 30-year affordability period.
