Events

We learn by exploring, creating, moving, and playing together — through hands-on activities, songs, crafts, and games that make financial lessons come alive. We’re proud to teach these classes across Alabama, because Alabama is a great place to grow, learn, and build strong futures. And the best part? Every child takes home a Bud Backpack filled with AHFA Kids swag, so the learning (and the FUN!) continues long after the day is done!

Financial Literacy Month: April 2025

AHFA Kids hit the road with Bud to Gulf State Park for a fun-filled adventure in financial literacy! From campfires and stepping stones to turtles and the beach, kids learned the lessons of Borrow, Share, Lend, and Care through music, games, and activities. We even hosted a special class for AHFA families, because every adventure is a chance to learn, grow, and shine.

Bud and his friends blasted off for a FUNancial literacy event at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville. Participants learned about earning, spending, saving and giving.

AHFA hosted a class for staffers' children and grandchildren. They learned about needs vs. wants and good saving habits, all while having down-home fun at Halcyon Farms.
