Teacher Daun explains what we truly need—like food, clothing, and a home—and what things are simply wants. Then the game begins! Kids look at different pictures and decide if each one is a need or a want. If it’s a need, everyone claps three times. If it’s a want, kids hold their hands out and whisper “wait.” When the bell rings, it’s time to see the answer!

Teacher Daun explains what value means and how we decide if something is important or useful. Then the real fun begins! What does value really mean? In this exciting lesson, Teacher Daun and Bud help kids discover that value is all about how much something is worth to you. First, Teacher Daun will show the Kids will see different pictures pop up on the screen and have to decide what kind of value each item has — “VALUE!” or “HEART VALUE!”

In this fun lesson, Teacher Daun and Bud teach kids what trade means. Trade is when people exchange things they have for something they want. Bud is sitting at his desk looking at his baseball card collection and trying to decide what he should trade to his friend Billy for a superhero comic book. Now it’s your turn to help Bud decide! Kids are asked to share their ideas by leaving a comment about what Bud should trade and what they might trade with their own friends.

For example, someone might have to trade a cow for a horse or travel a long distance just to find someone willing to make a fair trade.
