On September 21, AHFA announced the 19 multifamily housing developments selected by its board of directors to receive awards of 2021 HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds and/or Low-Income Housing Tax Credits.
Of the approved applications, 12 are for new construction, and 7 are for the acquisition/rehabilitation of existing housing stock. A total of 1,011 housing units are expected to be built or renovated.
AHFA also announced that one of those projects, The Villas at York in Birmingham, would receive $1.3 million in National Housing Trust Funds.
